From the Cenaculum, to St. Laurence in Rome, to Spain. . . this small stone cup has been tenaciously protected and revered for centuries. This week on the SaintCast we interview Janice Bennett, author of “St. Laurence and the Holy Grail,” a book that traces the history of the Holy Chalice of Valencia, the reputed Holy Grail that Christ used at the Last Supper. Mrs. Bennett describes her search for the Holy Grail that brought her from libraries in Madrid, across the Pyrenees to the small agate cup guarded and preserved as the sacred chalice Christ used in Jerusalem at the Last Supper.
Paul talks about his recent trip to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life. Also, hear news of new Saint Causes from England and the story of a newly found relic cloth with 365 saint relics in Buffalo, New York. Mail, feedback, a Saint Joke, and more on this week’s SaintCast.

Thanks so much, Michael. I appreciate the thoughts.
Always glad to have a new episode, Dr. Paul — enjoyed this one very much!
Doc. So glad your back my prayers have been answered . Forza saint cast! Vincent
Dr. Paul, Great saintcast! So glad you are back and all is well. My prayers are with your family!
Hi Dr Paul. First of all, I want to congratulate you for your WONDERFUL podcast. I love it and look forward to new episodes. I am not sure if I heard wrong, but I think I understood you said that St. Teresa de Avila was the same as Teresa del Nino Jesus (Thérese of the Child Jesus). If so, they are not the same.
The 1st one is the one that started the Discalzed Reformation of the Carmelites and who did not mean to make a separate order but to renew it, the one with the book. That was at the end of the Middle Age (XVI century).
St. Thérese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face (that is her full Carmelite name) died in 1897 at the age of 24, also known as St. Thérese of Lisieux, the one with the roses.
You are so right, Olga. I always get mixed up with the ‘Teresa of Jesus’ (Teresa of Avila) and ‘Theresa of the Child Jesus’ (Therese de Lisieux). Thanks so much for the correction.
Doc , hope your lent is going well, I love the saint cast ,can’t get enough
Dr Paul,
Thanks so much for all your hard work. I’ve enjoyed your podcast since the beginning and have introduced many to it, when do we get to hear more? Sorry about your misfortune last year, it was right of you to put your family first…
Thanks so much, Dvm. I hope to get a new one up soon, perhaps this weekend. I miss it too.
Dear Dr, Paul, Greetings from Seymour, IN. Not too long ago I purchased a new IPOD Touch. While crusing around ITunes I ran across SaintCast. After downloading a few episodes I was totally hooked. I am a Lettercarrier, and listening to your podcast has greatly improved my days. As I am playing catch up from your first podcast, I am listening to you 5 or 6 hours a day while I am out on route. I wish to thank you, and please keep up the fantastic work. You and your family are in my prayers. B.Stahr
Thanks for the kind words, BStahr. God bless you for your work – I hope to get a new podcast up this week. I’m praying to your patron, St. Anthony!
Hey “what’s up doc?”. I’ve missed your broadcasts for a very long time. How are you doc?
You are in my prayers. You did so much good to me with your podcasts and SQPN.
Karl, Thanks so much for your kind words. The Saints are truly inspiring! Just posted a new one today. Hope to continue with lots more. Thanks for listening.
